About Us
Tithe & Offering started out 20 years ago at Maranatha Seventh - Day Adventist church located in in Tallahassee, FL. While serving as the technology director in my church I observed the process by which the treasury team counted, and recorded what was in the envelopes collected in church at tithe & offering time. After the counting is done then the head treasurer is left to check and correct the totals of each envelope and enter all the information, which entails distributing the contributions listed on every envelope that was received that Sabbath. And that process could take hours depending on how large your church is.
So out of that tedious process Tithe & Offering was born to ease the work of the head treasurer. When developing Tithe & Offering we took great strides in making sure it was able to be used by anyone no matter the age or level of technical experience you may have. Tithe & Offering allows a treasury team to input their envelopes into a calculating interface that totals all denominations with 100% accuracy and distribute the contributed funds contained within each of the envelopes accordingly.
Once everything has been inputted into Tithe & Offering the head treasurer can now export that data into jewel alleviating the need for the tedious task of one person entering in all the information that is collected from envelopes gathered from Sabbath services.
Other questions Tithe & Offering set out to answer that popped up on the regular basis was:
- How much did I contribute last year?
- How much have I contributed so far this year?
- What ministries did I contribute to and how much did I contribute to them?
- How or where can I get my contribution report for tax purposes?
These questions can now be answered at any time by contributors when they create an account on Tithe & Offering and linking to the church where their contributions were given.
This all started as a small service to my local church and it has grown to be a tool that they now cannot do without. I thank them for encouraging my ministry and I now share this tool that they've used over the years with other churches that are in need of such a tool to streamline their processes and give their contributors a level a access to the needed information that they require.
